Indian institute of Technology conduct Joint Admission Test to MSc. (JAM) for admission to M.Sc., Integrated PhD and other post-BSc.
Programs at various IITs. The main objective of JAM is to provide admissions
to various M.Sc. and other post-B.Sc. Programs based on the performance in a
single test and consolidate 'Science' as a career option for bright students
from across the country. In due course, JAM is also expected to become a
benchmark for normalising undergraduate level science education in the country
The M.Sc. and other post-B.Sc. programmes at the IITs offer
high quality post-B.Sc. education in respective disciplines, comparable to the
best in the world. The curricula for these programmes are designed to provide
the students opportunities to develop academic talent leading to challenging
and rewarding professional life. The curricula are regularly updated at each
IIT. Interdisciplinary content of the curricula equips the students to utilize
scientific knowledge for practical applications. The medium of instruction in
all the programmes is English

How to apply IIT JAM 2014?
Candidates can submit application
form in two different modes online and offline
The preferred mode of application
process is online
Off-line Application: Candidate can
obtain a packet containing offline application form information brochure
envelope from designated bank branches of Canara bank on cash payment; or from
GATE-JAM Office, IIT Delhi after handing over demand draft for appropriate
amount
Obtain SC/ST/PD certificate (if
applicable), OBC candidates need not send any certificate with the application
form (it will be required only at the time of applying for admission)
Fill in the application form
Candidates must follow the
instructions provided in JAM-2014 information brochure
Paste your recent photograph (3 cm x
4 cm) in the designated place of OMR sheet
Sign at the designated places of OMR
sheet
Write the test city first choice
code, paper code and your address on the envelope
Online Application: Payment option
Payment through demand draft only
Demand draft of appropriate amount
should be drawn in favour of Chairman JAM, IIT Delhi, on any bank, payable at
New Delhi
Please note that the last date for
submission of application has been extended till 20th October 2013
